My name is Jaime Dantas, and I am a Computer Engineer. Currently, I am an M.A.Sc student at York University where I develop research on distributed systems and cloud computing in the Performant and Available Computing Systems Lab. Prior to becoming a graduate student, I worked as a Senior Software Engineer in the largest bank of Latin America where I designed, implemented, and maintained systems in a highly available, real-time distributed platform. I also founded FIIZ TAX and documented my journey here. In addition to my career as a Software Engineer, I worked as an Electronics Engineer, Telecommunication Engineer, and Instrumentation and Control Engineer on a wide range of industries including the aerospace, energy and telecommunications.
I developed a wide range of engineering skills throughout my academic and professional career.
As an engineer, I love to solve problems and to develop new technologies. Research, performance and efficiency are embedded in my DNA.
